How we started and how we evolved
Kurt Hassler cofounded Yen Press as an imprint of Hachette Book Group
Yen On launched as the first English-language light novel imprint
Yen Press, LLC was a spun off as a joint venture between KADOKAWA Corporation and Hachette Book Group
JY debuted as the company’s imprint focusing on publishing for middle grade readers
Yen Audio launched as an audiobook publishing partnership between Yen Press and Hachette Audio
From Yen Press comes Ize Press, an imprint dedicated to Korean content—one that promises to deliver stunning print editions of great works from Korea that have captured the imagination and dedication of readers around the world
